VDI2714 and ISO (1996) noise prediction models were used in Assiut cement plant, Assiut cement quarry and El-Gedida mine at El-Baharia oasis of Egypt to predict noise. From the study, it was concluded that the prediction models could be used to identify the safe zones with respect to the noise level in mining and industrial plants.
