Just beyond Molteno Reservoir, lies the Higgovale Quarry, which provides some great slab/face climbs for climbing enthusiasts. There are several established routes bolted up the cliff. The quarry closed down in 1906 and much of the granite used to construct the impressive Rhodes Memorial was obtained from the Higgovale Quarry.
